History
God of trickery and knowledge
The Traveler claims to have been exiled from time itself, stating that he no longer remembers the feeling of loneliness (Session 64). His connection to changelings runs deep, Cassius stating that his parents once prayed to The Traveler for a child and being gifted a baby changeling as a result. The Traveler resides in the Feywild, where he is known as “The Sovereign” by the other changelings. He observes the world with a seemingly indifferent demeanor, during one such moment, Cassius sits beside the Traveler as they silently watch a village being razed.
The Traveler has a commented that he knows The Raven Queen.
Two times, The Traveler has shared visions of the end of the world to Cassius. First at Alexi Faraday’s party, during the casting of Dream of the Blue Veil. A second time after Cas caster a ritual spell. In the apocalyptic scene, the body of Karsus rises from the land, scorching the earth with blinding heat.
Cassius’s precursor gun, pulled from the Tree of Life, once belonged to the Traveler. It was said that the Traveler frequently conversed with the weapon and he lonely during those times.
Current Activities
Despite his apparent detachment, the Traveler accepted a small flying creature as a gift from Cassius. Cassius occasionally attempts to summon or talk with the Traveler, though the calls often go unanswered.
Cassius traveled with The Traveler during downtime and comes to understand that the deity is creating small ripples with small precise changes that alter the course of fate.
