Allara and her brother, Lucian Thorne, appear to have a close relationship. He grew up with Allara, both as adopted children of Mortimer Fitzroy, training for life to be a bodyguard. He is under a FETC contract and is currently working under Xander. He notes he cannot simply leave with Allara as she requested because breaking his contract would mean repo men are sent after him. He says life in the Far Empire isn’t as bad as it seems. He tells Allara, “This life would have been yours if you stayed.” But Allara says she would have been traded and sacrificed: “He would have sold me to some cult.”
