The Green Veil presents a contradiction of vitality. The flora is excessively lush, yet shows signs of decay. Vegetation regrows almost immediately after disturbance and still the forest appears designed rather than natural. My determination is that there is a preservation of beauty rather than preservation of life.
Enoch and Charles investigated a stone structure resembling the Embermaw ritual site. Arcane scanning confirmed overlapping signatures of illusion and necromantic energy. The figure depicted on the stone structure was feminine, winged, and positioned in a posture of cultivation or guardianship over a flourishing garden. The design resembled Xalithea. The broken basin suggests deliberate desecration or interruption of function.
Enoch and Charles repaired the stone basin I planted the glowing seed provided by House Maelthrumm and applied holy water to the site. Vitality propagated outward in a thirty-foot radius, cleansing disease and stabilizing the surrounding soil. The site will remain sanctified for approximately seven days. During this process I experienced a transient visualization: the sensation of possessing enormous footprints capable of crushing the abnormal forest growth. The imagery was not welcomed.
Mazarin performed druidic ritualization upon the site, producing a field of blue flowering plants. She secured a protective blessing from the stone, allowing her a single reroll on saving throws until the next long rest. The location appears to carry personal significance for her; she did not elaborate, but I suspect familial proximity within the Green Veil.
Marrion and I spoke quietly during the movement through the forest. She expressed concern that I might have interpreted recent events as personal rejection. I informed her that I had made no such conclusion. I invited her to drink with me at approximately 20:00 hours. She accepted. We agreed, implicitly, to treat the evening as a restart rather than continuation.
As we advanced deeper, five Ledgerman soldiers intercepted us near the Covenant entrance. The engagement escalated into full combat involving summoned demons, a clockwork golem, and several hostile mercenary entities.
During the climax of the battle, a dimensional aperture opened and expelled additional combatants accompanied by a spectral wizard who declared our intrusion grounds for banishment. I did not record the exact phrasing of the declaration. The group moved through the portal during the resulting instability.
We emerged inside the Sanctuary. The transition was abrupt but operationally successful. I am physically and tactically compromised but functional.
I observe that the Covenant’s defenses combine ideological secrecy with layered magical infrastructure. This is consistent with organizations attempting to preserve long-term operational autonomy. I remain uncertain whether we are confronting an enemy structure or the logical consequence of the empire’s own design. The distinction may ultimately be irrelevant.

Luminora says its similar to Xalithea again.
