Backstory
Former soldier of the 61st Infantry Division, deployed in the Delmiri Desert. A survivor of a deadly ambush by Hangul Shadow Monks, only he and his spotter returned alive. Once a member of the Steel Covenant, Brand is known for showing sympathy toward enemies of the Sacred Machine, even attempting to warn native populations before strikes.
Presumably for this, Charles underwent Class-4 memory alignment and extensive remediation before his service. Large portions of his memory have been modified or erased by the FETC. He is haunted by visions of a woman with sad eyes asking him, “Then what type of man are you Charles Brand?”
