Impression

Enoch is Ashborne, a culture I admit to know little about. He wears a mask marked with symbols of his losses and has stated he is “not allowed to wield weapons.” He comes off as meek, deferential, and restrained; in Conscriptus, such a posture would invite swift elimination, given the constant demands to demonstrate strength and dominance. I question whether this behavior is instinctive or a survival strategy within his own culture. In spite of his manner, he is not without capability. Yet in combat he acts decisively and strikes with control, an obvious contradiction to his submissive presentation.

Known Record

He was assigned to Block 252 for our second mission, a foray into the Embermaw. His function is to provide assistance with the environment and translation with the locals. He has been “borrowed” from the Covenant for this purpose. By his own account, he is not highly regarded within his Agati Ashborne tribe.

NOTE (Editorial Addenda)

Although Luminora documents that he was “borrowed,” the arrangement was in fact, coercive. The Covenant threatened to execute ten of his people unless he complied, allowing the Enforcer he injured to select the victims. They also promised the release of ten of his kin from Site 9 should he serve. Despite the controlled exterior documented by Katharis, Empire records documented a volatile temper within Enoch.
